Designed  specifically for school and educational use, we have launched a range of School Hand Washing Packs that are complete ready to fit washing stations which are both water saving through the timed flow taps and anti-flooding  by combining an overflow basin with a free draining waste (something school pupils are keen to try for all the wrong reasons).
The new ‘Junior School’ packs feature special joystick operated taps which are very easily operated just by pushing or pulling the lever in any direction which makes them particularly ideal for the washrooms in nursery and infant schools where the pupils do not have the strength to operate normal taps.

We are increasingly asked whether the healthcare taps that we supply are DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) compliant.
The requirement states that sanitary accommodation will satisfy requirements M1 or M3 of the act if ” any bath or washbasin tap is either controlled automatically or is capable of being operated using a closed fist eg by lever action”
The options are therefore to install infra red sensor taps or extended/elbow lever taps.
The introduction of  our new  Ability Lever Taps fully satisfies the acts requirements.
it is also stated that the needs of people with visual impairment should be considered and as such the use of high visibility graphics and the contrast between the lever colour and tap body provides useful visual contrast.
The Italian designed range which includes basin, bath & sink taps will be suitable for any public building looking to ensure their chosen brassware complies with the requirements of the disabilty discrimination act.

Commercial use shower heads are needed for specific end users requiring a combination of controlled (reduced wasteage) water supply with tougher construction needed to cope with both higher use and often intentional lack of care/abuse.
Anti-ligature type heads are designed without protruding points to specifically prevent vulnerable people from either accidentally or deliberately self harming (eg  hanging)

What do the elderly & schoolkids have In common?
They both leave taps running – the elderly because they forget, school kids because they like to leave taps running to see if they can cause a flood (we were all kids once so we know what trouble kids get up to)
This was a problem that we had to address recently where a school needed taps that were efficient in water use but very importantly only ran for a limited time as the pupils liked to leave taps running, blocked the basins and cause a flood
We recommended our professional temperature adjustable timer taps  (non-concussive taps)  that can be set to a desired temperature whilst they will run for approx 15 secs – enough to wash with but not enough time to cause trouble.
The timer taps are part of a comprehensive range of commercial taps and plumbing solutions which includes safety TMV temperature control valves, water saving fittings, special sensor taps & school laboratory supplies.
